When you think of Lancaster, you think of Amish, buggies, the countryside and the outlets. Well there is more to the county than what is on Route 30. We actually have a very historic city, thus Lancaster City will be the site of our next Oilheat Retreat. Lancaster opened a new convention center about 2 years ago. When the idea of a convention center was discussed many years prior, the concern was keeping the closed Watt & Shand Department store structure intact. Visitors will find that the façade of the old department store is the exterior of the lovely new Marriott Hotel.
For an inclusive daily rate of $154.00 Single and $169.00 Double, attendees will get breakfast each morning and all day and evening functions. Register today for the event and then call the Marriott 888-236-2427 reference code for this event is - Oil Heat Retreat. Deadline for booking your hotel reservation is August 19th.

Friday after breakfast, a special walking tour of the city will be offered. You will see the fine architecture that Lancaster has to offer. You’ll love this small intimate city and with the tour offered early in the day, you will be able to identify places you want to go back to – places for lunch, shopping, touring, Central Market – whatever strikes your fancy. Prefer golf, we are suggesting the Overlook Golf Course - www.overlookgolfcourse.com - you can book online or call to make a tee time. Later that day, we’ll relax at the Pressroom for drinks and food.
Lancaster’s Central Market is a true American treasure. As the country’s oldest farmers’ market, it is housed in an 1889 "Romanesque Revival" building designed by James H. Warner. The 60+ Market stand holders offer a wide variety of foods during the three market days-Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturday.
Lancaster has amazing architecture and you’ll see it during our Walking Tour of the city.
Saturday, while directors participate in our fall board meeting, spouses will be treated to lunch and then a visit to a local boutique in the city – Festoons. Kathy sells beautiful clothing (much made in the U.S.A.), jewelry and a large selection of decorating items. She’s going to present a couple of special fall decorating ideas for the ladies and they’ll also get a discount coupon compliments of Festoons and NAOHSM – good for a purchase at Festoons.
No NAOHSM event is complete without more food – Saturday night we’ll have dinner at the Marriott and more time to socialize and who knows, there just might be some live music as well. We look forward to spending time with you at our annual Fall Retreat! Register today!
