To better serve our membership, the Education Committee has been expanded. It is now chaired by co-chairs - Matt Spink, Nassau-Suffolk Chapter and Ralph Adams, Mid Atlantic Chapter.
Our Convention Education Committee - Alan Mercurio, George Perrelli, Richard Baran and Mike Santoro will continue delivering quality seminars, roundtables and competitions at our annual Convention and Trade Show.
National Education Committee Co-Chairs - Matt Spink and Ralph Adams - are responsible for the PROSMA (Professional Service Managers Academy) certification program and the Management Day classes. The PROSMA program is being conducted in conjunction with Penn State University. This certification program is designed to train present and future service managers in the art of service management. Today's Service Manager wears many hats and his/her role today requires more than technical expertise. This program is designed to help them gain the needed business skills to be more effective in managing their department.
These gentlemen are also responsible for identifying other educational opportunities for our members.
For instance 2007 is the year of the tank. NAOHSM along with several states co-sponsored NORA Tank Certification classes.
