National Education Committee Co-Chairs - Matt Spink and Ralph Adams - are responsible for the PROSMA (Professional Service Managers Academy) certification program and the Management Day classes. The PROSMA program is being conducted in conjunction with Penn State University. This certification program is designed to train present and future service managers in the art of service management. Today's Service Manager wears many hats and his/her role today requires more than technical expertise. This program is designed to help them gain the needed business skills to be more effective in managing their department.
This year, our new book, Introduction to Oilheat Technology was released. A group of dedicated volunteers put together this new textbook for students. We worked collectively with NORA to get it published and released.
These gentlemen are also responsible for identifying other educational opportunities for our members. For instance 2007 was the year of the tank and 2008 we’ve focused upon the Train the Trainer Programs and customer service training. 2009 we will be focusing on ECM Motor Training – both as a new Train-Trainer 1-day class and as an on-the road training for technicians.
