Convention Time is Just Around the Corner
Education at the Show – where else in the Northeast can technicians get free CEUs – up to 4 - why Hartford of course. May 20th and 21st technicians and others will have an opportunity to select from a host of topics being delivered by some of the very best trainers in the heating industry. They will be a couple sessions on solar, Underground Tank Training with John Levey and John Donohue; Greening Steam, with Dan Holohan; Understanding & Using Test Equipment with Bruce Marshall; and Industry Update on Bioheat, “Its all about us”; an International Panel Discussion; A World of Ways to Get Radiant Done, John Barba, TACO; a Basic Burner 101 class, Honeywell, Controls; Pumping in the 21st Century with Wilo and Ellen and Hot Rod Rohr; Business Building Ideas – Solar, Alternative Fuel Sources and the Lessons of ISH.
Then after the session of your choice, visit the huge trade show floor where you’ll find some of the latest oil fired equipment, burners and supplies. We’ll also have an outdoor area where you can see live firing demonstrations.
Care to Ride
If you are planning to participate in the Care to Ride Event that will be held on Monday, May 19th, please help us by registering for the event – let us know what event you will be participating in and what size shirt you’d like. It all takes place at NOON – Riverfront Recapture – near the Marriott and Convention Center.
Registration
Take a few minutes and register your TEAM to attend NAOHSM’s 55th Annual Convention and Trade Show – its free and easy to do. Just go online www.naohsm.org under the orange bar on the left you’ll find convention and trade show. Go to the Trade Show page and you’ll find a link to register. You can enter as many people as you wish – just help us by separating each name with a comma. The badges will be mailed the 1st week of May.
PROSMA Class
By request we have changed the class to be held on Thursday and Friday, May 22-23rd to Supervisory Roles and Responsibilities. The cost $195.00 pp plus books. Please register now for this class. At present attendance is very light and if I don’t hear from more people shortly we’ll need to cancel the class.
Train-the-Trainer – a third class will be set-up for August 12-14th in the Philadelphia Area. If you are interested let me know. This class has several people already signed up.
Oil Heat Retreat
It is not too early to start planning a trip to Gettysburg, PA. Our 3rd annual Oil Heat Retreat will take place September 11-14th. In conjunction with that, we’ll have a fundraiser for Oil Heat Oil Heat Retreat Cares. Dan Holohan will present Greening Steam Thursday, September 11th at the old Gettysburg Hotel and our sponsor for the event will be Burnham Boilers.
