NAOHSM’s mission is Education. At most chapter meetings you’ll find the chapters have a speaker included as part of their agenda. Chapters are encouraged to sponsor educational programs throughout the year and National supports that effort with an Educational Subsidy reimbursement program.

At our Annual Convention and Trade Show, our education committee offers various training for both technicians and owners/managers.

PROSMA
National has developed a Management Program, PROSMA or Professional Service Managers Academy. This program has been designed and is delivered by Penn State University. It is an excellent program for lead technicians, supervisors and managers and aspiring managers and owners. To graduate from this program with a Certificate in Service Management from Penn State and NORA, a student needs to complete four (4) core courses and two (2) electives. The program is designed for the busy employee. He or she can enter the program at any time and take as long as they wish to complete. Take a moment and see what each class has to offer.

New Online MicroLessons offered by Penn State
This year we’ve added more online classes and made them more affordable. For the price of $30.00, you can take a host of new classes. Plus, if you are enrolled in the PROSMA program you can pick any two of the classes and it will satisfy an elective.

NORA Tank Certification Program
NAOHSM has partnered with industry trainer and tank expert, John Levey to deliver a 1-day NORA Tank Certification program throughout the Northeast. Beginning in Maryland in March, we’ll offer classes throughout the summer of 2007. Get your company and its employees listed on the NORA Ed site www.noraed.org as a Tank Certified Company. This proactive approach to tank management is the perfect marketing tool.

Benefit Seminar
To benefit Oil Heat Cares in 2007, we’ll host a day dedicated to the wonderful world of Radiant. This event will be hosted at Gillette Stadium, home of the Patriots in MA on April 5th. The event will begin in the early afternoon with a tour of the mechanical room as well as the locker room. There will be plenty of time to visit suppliers of Radiant equipment and hear presentations by some of the experts as well as enjoy food and beverages. The cost to attend this event is $109.00 per person and all profits go to Oil Heat Cares.
